Investments of reserve assets of the borough are grouped into three categories:

A. Short-term investments, including the cash balance of all checking accounts of the borough and other investments which are considered temporary (maturity within one year of purchase) and may be liquidated as required to meet liquidity and cash flow needs;

B. Long-term reserve investments of the general fund which are liquidated only in extraordinary circumstances;

C. Investments of the permanent fund established by Section 9.09 of the Haines Borough Charter and governed by Chapter 3.24 HBC. (Ord. 07-08-164 § 4)
