Money placed or otherwise deposited in the permanent fund is fund principal, which the borough shall hold in trust and invest in perpetuity for the benefit of present and future Haines residents. Principal may be invested only in the income-producing investments set out in HBC 3.24.050. The goal of the fund is to maintain safety of principal while maximizing total return. (Ord. 07-08-164 § 5)
