“Assembly” means the governing body of the Haines Borough;

“Assessor” means the duly appointed borough assessor or authorized representative or agent;

“Mobile home” means mobile home, trailer, house trailer, trailer coach, modular home, or any other housing unit so constructed that it is capable of being transported and is used for residential, commercial or industrial purposes;

“Owner” or “record owner” means owner of record or purchaser of record as shown in the records of the district recorder;

“Property” means real property;

“Published” means appearing at least once in a newspaper of general circulation distributed in the borough or, if there is no newspaper of general circulation distributed in the borough, posting in three public places for at least seven days;

“Real property” means land and improvements, all possessory rights and privileges appurtenant to the property, and includes personal property affixed to the land or improvements;

“Tract” or “tracts” includes all lands, pieces or parcels of land, which may be separately assessed together with the improvements thereon. (Ord. 09-05-207 § 4)
