The fire chief is authorized to grant permission for a fireworks display for any special occasion or reason within the fire service area affected. If inside the townsite service area, after securing permission from the fire chief and prior to the display, the chief of police shall be notified and provided with a safety plan ensuring the safety of all persons watching the same and the property in the immediate vicinity of the display.
