A. Consistent with the requirements of state law, it is hereby determined to be in the public interest to protect public inebriants from potential harm to themselves and others by placing them in protective custody.
B. An incapacitated person taken into protective custody under subsection (A) of this section shall pay for the costs of such custody at a rate of $75.00 per day plus any medical costs incurred. The police department may institute reasonable procedures for the collection of such costs.
