A. A successful buyer must give notice to the land manager, within 30 days of the sale, if the buyer wishes to give up the buyer’s right to enter into a sale contract. Any refund of the deposit and handling fees must be requested in writing. The relinquishment must be received prior to the execution of the purchase contract. Any deposits, fees, or payments will be forfeited if a relinquishment is received after the sale contract is signed.

B. If the successful buyer timely relinquishes a parcel, the buyer becomes eligible to bid on another parcel at a future land sale, or to purchase a parcel over-the-counter, one day after the relinquishment is received by the land manager’s office.
